Introducing Virtual Cable Television™
The First Direct Internet to TV Broadcasting System
From Digital Utilities, Inc.

What is Virtual Cable Television™?

Digital Utilities' unique, proprietary web-based platform delivers live TV programming of broadcast quality from anywhere in the world over the Internet directly to the TV screen. All the viewer needs is a broadband connection (1 - 2.5 Mb/s) to the Internet to tap into the DU Network. No last mile build out is required.

How does it work?

Programs are fed to the Internet via satellite or fiber optic lines and connected to individual homes by an open infrastructure that couples the free use of the Internet with individual home broadband connections. The only proprietary portion of this broadcast delivery system is the Digital Utilities Network Operations Center (NOC) with its specialized DU Encoder and the simple Digital Utilities set top box residing in the viewer's home. The DU Encoder deploys a proprietary compression system that delivers programs to the television viewer using as little as 1 megabit of the Internet as the backbone to the television set. This allows for high resolution programming regardless of screen size to be transported by both DSL and Cable lines

What does it provide?

Using a basic set top box, that acts simply as a browser, Virtual Cable Television™ is designed to carry:
